All I Can See Is The Floor

All I can see is the floor,
an endless strip of small squares,
multiplied across these four walls,
underneath my feet, underneath my chair.

All I can see is the light,
from my neighbours' house,
but a minute later,
it is turned off.

Swing my arms,
to the rhythm of your mistakes.
Shake my hips,
to the sound of your regret.

Make no mistake,
this is not about you.
Pray,tell,
how does one fight gravity?
